What Is Microneedling?

Results and Frequency
We typically recommend an initial series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 12 weeks apart. Some patients may notice an early improvement in skin texture and skin appearance, however changes typically develop gradually over time as collagen production occurs. Maintenance treatments every 6 to 12 weeks may help support ongoing results. Some patients choose to have SkinPen microneedling every 6 weeks as part of their regular skin treatment plan.

Aftercare and Downtime
You may experience mild redness, sensitivity, or minor swelling for up to 72 hours after treatment. Most patients are able to return to usual activities soon after treatment, although recovery varies between individuals.
It is important to follow post-treatment instructions, including avoiding sun exposure and excessive heat, using a gentle cleanser and avoiding active skincare for several days, applying SPF daily, and delaying makeup for 24 to 48 hours unless advised otherwise.

Add-On Options
